Supernatural at the Library Con
Mar. 20th, 2022 03:59 pmJust a little SPN display in the Library...We've geeked out the entire historical collection room as advertisement for our first Library Con in April, and this is my little corner. One thing I love about the Supernatural stuff is that, in contrast to the action figures, models, and jewelry that has been produced and marketed for other fandoms (casting no shade on the other collections, which I love, which take dedication to their shows and books, which also include funky and handmade items)--these items are largely fan-driven or produced. They come from Etsy stores, con vendors & experiences, or were made by fans and fan-adjacent artists. (The t-shirt quilt my cousin made, the weapons that I bought as plain resin replicas on Etsy and painted, the weapon stands that were 3-D printed by my co-worker Tammie, and painted by me.) Sure, there are some SPN Funko Pops, there are the books, the subscription boxes, the HotWheels Impala, etc, but for the most part, SPN merchandise is endearingly home-grown!
